Meet the Team
The Theravet team take a keen interest in their profession and are constantly updating their knowledge with regular professional development studies and by attending seminars, debates and training days. They work closely with referring vets to develop understanding of new techniques, advances in veterinary medicine and changing ideas for the best treatments available.

Emma Vigor BA(Hons) LCGI PG Dip AMM MAA BCMA
Emma qualified in 1998 from an animal and equine science degree lasting 4 years.  She was then involved in the re-development of a large West London Rehabilitation clinic before embarking on a 2 year post graduate Masters course in McTimoney Manipulation.  Emma then set up a centre in Fleet, Hampshire, followed by a satellite practice in Hertfordshire.  She has been involved in lecturing and writing for magazines and has appeared on a phone-in clinic for BBC Radio 4.  Her clients combine a wide range of disciplines from well loved pets to top level working, breeding or show dogs and companion ponies through to GB team ponies, top class eventers and royal racehorses!  Her hobbies include riding and spending time with her much loved dog Jack!  Emma became a member of the McTimoney Association, Canine Hydrotherapy Association and a practitioner of the British Complementary Medicine Association. She is currently applying for a PhD to further develop research into complementary therapies.

Emma is currently completing an Advanced Veterinary Physiotherapy course at the University of Nottingham Veterinary School and will be assisting with further research into Canine Injuries and the application of Physiotherapy to aid their recovery

Jessica Ashbridge BSc (Hons) Dip CRM
Jessica graduated from the Royal College of Agriculture in 2003 following a 3 year degree course in International Agricultural and Equine Business Management. She then trained and qualified as a riding instructor gaining BHSAI Int. SM.  She joined Theravet in 2005 before gaining qualifications in hydrotherapy, equine rehabilitation and stretching. Jess has also trained at the Galen Therapy Centre and qualified for canine remedial massage, where she learnt a variety of massage techniques based on Swedish Massage.  Jess enjoys spending time with her dog Widget and riding her Norwegian Fjord horse Calle!

Darah Harris
Darah graduated from the Berkshire College of Agriculture as a qualified Veterinary Nurse. She spent several years in nursing with a period of time at the Royal Veterinary College Hospital, where her interest in hydrotherapy was sparked. Darah has a particular interest in orthopedic surgical procedures and the rehabilitation of spinal patients. In her spare time she enjoys her family and riding.

Carol Hercock BSc (Hons) PhD
Carol graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2006 with a 1st class honours degree in BioVeterinary Science. She developed a strong interest in research after completing her dissertation on the mechanism of locomotion-respiration linkage in running horses and dogs. Carol has recently completed a PhD in the School of Veterinary Science at the University of Liverpool studying the effect that the stresses encountered during racing have on the musculoskeletal system of the racing Greyhound. Carol is currently studying for her Advanced Certificate in Veterinary Physiotherapy which she will complete in July 2012.

In her spare time Carol likes to keep active and she enjoys a number of hobbies and activities, including walking with her dog Eddie, horse riding, playing the violin, reading and doing various craft activities such as making jewellery.
