I would like to thank Emma and Jess for the fantastic help they have given me with my dogs. It is very important to me that my dogs are fit and healthy. I train two golden retrievers and a border collie for competition obedience and ask for a strong commitment to their work, so therefore it is very necessary to know that they are physically fit in order for them to be able to work in the manner required, and also very significant that they move in a balanced way. Emma has the talent and expertise to spot any small irregularities they might have and make any adjustments necessary, she also advises me on a suitable fitness regime for them. Jess has taught me how to massage my dogs’ pre work and after just like athlete’s use. I teach others who also compete and Emma has now helped so many of their dogs. Most important is my dogs think she’s great and cannot wait for her to touch them!!

Zecha was afflicted with a serious trapped nerve in his back following an exhausting day on our little grouse moor. Zechas problem with his back had been a recurring feature over a number of years and he was looking at the possibility of surgical treatment. Fortunately we put Zecha in Emmas hands. Emma had a wonderful touch with Zecha - she seemed able to feel the location of the damage in his back and treat it. Zecha developed a real liking for Emmas handling and she became a special person amongst his many friends.

When Willow was diagnosed with hip dysplacia, I was devastated, not only because she was so young but also because of what having the condition meant. However, thanks to the love and support Emma and Jess have given to Willow during her treatment she is doing fantastically well. She loves her walks and playing again and loved it even more when it snowed, still managing to find a ball in the middle of a field covered in deep snow! Thank you both so much.

We owe so much to Emma and Jess and the team at Theravet. They gave us an extra two quality years with our Jester. He had been hampered by arthritis and then by a spinal prolapse. We were astounded by their dedication and professionalism in making him well again and for their emotional support throughout the journey. When we first met them post operatively Jester could not walk at all. However, over many weeks they returned our dog to us and he was once more able to enjoy walks and get onto the sofa. We are so grateful.

I first used Theravet 2 years ago when my black Labrador Izzy had an operation as she has Elbow Dysplasia. Izzy is a very nervous dog, but once she met Jess and Emma who were lovely she soon was so excited in going to her hydro sessions. I really believe it helped her with her recovery. Because she loved it and because Elbow Dysplasia is a disease and it is all about managing it for the rest of her life, we kept up with the hydro every 8 weeks as Jess and Emma could always monitor her. Unfortunately in November they saw a problem with her and off she went to the vets. She is now recovering from a half elbow replacement and has just started back to hydro twice a week. Izzy is so happy when she is in the water and is loving having a ball thrown to her. Thank you Theravet for doing a great job on Izzy's recovery.

I first met Emma when I took my English Springer Spaniel Jack to have some hydrotherapy and Laser treatment for the arthritis in his elbow. When I wanted someone to come and treat my little 14hh 20 year old Arab mare I asked Emma to come to see Dainty. An endurance ride vet had commented that Dainty was not quite right and felt that she had pulled a muscle in her back. Although Dainty won her race I also felt that she was reluctant to go down hill freely. Emma came and treated Dainty and ten days later Dainty went on to win the veteran Arab marathon. Dainty did not only win her class but also overall best condition, a most coveted award. Emma has now treated my other horses, again with great success. I will always be grateful to Emma for treating my horses with care and sympathy.
It is most important that an endurance horse is 100%, so I will always use Emma when it comes to having my horses treated.

Emma treated Jester my New Forest driving pony, when he appeared to have a noticeably choppy trot, rather like a sewing machine! Emma explained that his shoulder muscles were very tight. With a combination of hands-on treatment from Emma, stretching exercises which we did every day, he really improved! He can flick his toes now, as seen in the photograph indoors at Merrist Wood.
I would certainly recommend Emma's expertise in McTimmony treatment, as she has successfully treated, not only my pony Jester but, also my horse The Joker, Hobby my Labrador who has osteoarthritis and has benefited from some hydrotherapy. My first patient to come to Emma for treatment was, however, my cat Remi who also had some hydrotherapy after a leg injury. I believe he is still the only cat to have taken to the hydrotherapy pool at Theravet with Emma and Jess in charge! Sadly he is no longer with us, but the sight of him swimming towards me across the pool was amazing! He was an awesome cat.
